Josh Cunningham is a writer, photographer and content marketer specialising in cycling, fitness, travel and adventure. He's worked in editorial, communications, advertising, and branding, delivering compelling and creative content to suit the relevant media outlet.
He was formerly a full time member of staff at Dennis Publishing, working across the editorial teams of Cyclist Magazine and Bikes Etc, during which time he wrote cover features for both. In periods spent as a freelancer he has contributed regular written content to a range of other titles, and his photography has appeared online and in print for both sport and travel magazines.
Further to producing both written and image-led content for the media, Josh also combines his knowledge of the cycling and outdoor industry with that of the general media landscape to lead content marketing campaigns for consumer brands.
Prior to starting a career in media, Josh lived in Belgium as a full time athlete. In 2015 he spent 11 months cycling 21,000km through 26 countries from London to Hong Kong. The resulting book, 'Escape by Bike: Adventure Cycling, Bikepacking and Touring Off-Road', was published in March 2018 with Thames & Hudson.
He is currently head of content at leading bikepacking brand, Apidura.
